Aligned Energy data centers implements PacketFabric

Aligned Energy will implement PacketFabric's Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform to expand connectivity options at its Ashburn, Dallas, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City data centers. Specifically, PacketFabric will provide Aligned customers with private, direct access to major cloud service providers, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud; connectivity to 160-plus Points of Presence (PoPs) in the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific; and interconnectivity to internet exchanges, network and XaaS providers.

“Aligned’s data center campuses are all strategically located and positioned to provide the robust, high-speed connectivity our customers require,” states Andrew Schaap, CEO of Aligned. “With the deployment of PacketFabric’s software-defined networking platform at Aligned’s facilities, our customers can now take advantage of instant, highly scalable and secure connectivity between any two or more points on its expansive global network, and at capacities ranging from one to 100 Gigabits per second.”

PacketFabric provides connectivity to Switch data centers

PacketFabric has expanded its network to Switch, the hyperscale data center company.

PacketFabric customers are now able to access the data center from any location on the PacketFabric network, with other Switch facilities to follow shortly thereafter. PacketFabric provides highly scalable, private network connectivity on demand, at speeds from 1Gbps to multi-100Gbps, reducing the sourcing and provisioning times of network services to minutes, through an intuitive web portal and API.

PacketFabric extends Network-as-a-Service with AEConnect transatlantic cable

PacketFabric, which offers a highly scalable, SDN-powered network-as-a-service platform, will use the America-Europe Connect (“AEConnect”) subsea cable system to provision secure, low-latency transatlantic capacity and extend its reach to Europe.

PacketFabric enables dynamic, real-time connectivity services between major carrier-neutral colocation facilities at terabit-scale.

Aqua Comms’ AEConnect submarine cable system links New York to Ireland with diverse backhaul fibre to additional Points of Presence (PoPs) in the U.S., Ireland and U.K.

As part of the strategic partnership, Aqua Comms also utilizes the PacketFabric platform to extend the reach of its service footprint across the U.S.  PacketFabric’s scalable network facilitates coast-to-coast connectivity between more than 150 premier colocation facilities across 17 U.S. markets.

PacketFabric partners with Internet exchanges

PacketFabric, provider of a scalable network-as-a-service platform and a NantWorks group company, announced it has partnered with multiple Internet exchanges (IXs) to extend Internet exchange services to users across the PacketFabric network.

Under the agreements, PacketFabric is initially partnering with multi-metro IXs including AMS-IX and DE-CIX, as well as regional organisations IX-Denver and United IX's Chicago Internet Exchange (ChIX) to launch its IX extension service.

The partnerships will allow PacketFabric to offer an expanded range of interconnection services via its network, as well as enabling its ecosystem partners to reach additional markets and new customers.

Recently, Netrality Properties, owner and operator of network-neutral carrier hotels and colocation facilities, announced that PacketFabric had established a presence at four of its data centre properties nationwide.

Netrality specifically announced the deployment at the following locations: 325 Hudson Street, New York City; 401 North Broad Street, Philadelphia; 717 South Wells Street, Chicago; and 1301 Fannin Street, Houston.


* PacketFabric's software-defined networking (SDN) platform is designed to allow instant, reliable, scalable and secure connectivity between two or more locations. Under the agreement, Netrality customers at the four locations can dynamically design and deploy any network configuration leveraging cloud-based network connectivity to meet their unique and growing network demands.

PacketFabric Signs NTT Com for its Layer2 Platform

NTT Communications (NTT Com) and PacketFabric, a NantWorks company and provider of next-generation Ethernet-based cloud networking services, announced that they are partnering to extend the availability of NTT Com's IP transit services to more locations in the U.S. across PacketFabric's network.

The partnership is designed to enable NTT Com to reach more customers and leverage PacketFabric's automated software-defined networking (SDN)-based network platform.

Leveraging the PacketFabric platform, NTT Com can extend its Tier-1 Global IP Network and provide fast, secure and reliable network connectivity services to customers in the 130 locations across 13 metro markets served by the PacketFabric network. Through the partnership with NTT Com, PacketFabric gains another ecosystem partner, enabling it to expand the over-the-top services offered to its customers.

NTT Com operates network infrastructure, including its global Tier-1 IP network, Arcstar Universal One VPN network, which reaches 196 countries/regions and 140 secure data centres. The company's solution offering also leverages the resources of NTT Group companies including Dimension Data, NTT DOCOMO and NTT DATA.

PacketFabric Unveils its Ethernet Cloud Networking Platform

PacketFabric, a start-up based in Culver City, California emerged from stealth to launch an Ethernet-based cloud networking platform in 11 metropolitan markets across North America that aims to redefine how enterprises procure, consume, and utilize networking connectivity services.

The SDN-based, neutral layer-2 connectivity platform combines a completely automated network with terabit-scale performance. The company said its platform enables customers to instantaneously provision massively scalable network connectivity between any two or more points across its private backbone network. Users can dynamically provision capacity as needed to hundreds of different networks and major data center locations. PacketFabric’s any-to-any SDN-powered network facilitates coast-to-coast connectivity between 86 premier carrier-neutral colocation facilities across 11 U.S. markets at the time of launch.

PacketFabric leverages an advanced Application Program Interface (API) and web-based portal that provides visibility and control over the network traffic and services. Real-time analytics and interactive troubleshooting capabilities allow PacketFabric to offer the robustness of a packet-switched network, while ensuring consistent and reliable performance.

Juniper's QFX10000 Powers PacketFabric

PacketFabric has selected Juniper Networks as its principal packet-switched network infrastructure provider for its next-generation Ethernet-based cloud networking services.

PacketFabric is offering a fully automated SDN-based network that allows users to instantaneously provision terabit-scale connectivity in a direct, private and secure manner across a next-generation transport fabric, powered by Juniper's QFX10000 line of switches.

Juniper said its automation technologies enables PacketFabric's next-generation platform to provide real-time visibility and real-time interactivity, making it easier than ever before to oversee network traffic.
