Anite Achieves 300 Mbps LTE-A with 3 Carrier Aggregation

Anite, which develops wireless equipment testing technology, has achieved a peak data rate of 300 Mbps with 40 MHz bandwidth using three Component Carrier Aggregation ("3 CC CA").

Three carriers with downlink bandwidths of 20 MHz, 10 MHz and 10 MHz were used to achieve the 300 Mbps (Category 6) on Anite's Development Toolset.  Anite said the milestone was achieved in collaboration with a leading mobile chipset manufacturer.

Anite expects that aggregation of three Component Carriers - with 20 MHz bandwidth each - will achieve downlink data rates to end-users of up to 450 Mbps.

Anite Launches LTE-A Carrier Aggregation Network Testing Solution

Anite announced the commercial release of an LTE-A and carrier aggregation ("CA") testing solution for mobile network operators and network infrastructure vendors.

Anite said LTE-A CA measurements with its Nemo Outdoor provide detailed information about the primary and secondary component carriers, including physical cell ID, signal levels and quality. Also link adaptation and radio resource allocation can be monitored among many other detailed LTE parameters.

Anite Adds LTE-Advanced Device Testing Capabilities

Anite has added LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) Scenario Mode capability in its Development Toolset, enabling engineers to quickly develop and edit test scripts using a drag and drop graphical interface. It offers a procedure-based rather than a message-based approach to script creation, which can make test creation simpler and faster. The user creates a complete test by assembling procedure blocks without necessarily working through each message in detail.

Anite said its Development Toolset enables users to quickly validate complex lower layer test scenarios, thereby supporting the entire wireless device development lifecycle, from pre-silicon protocol module development through to systems integration and verification.
