Tzero Raises $18M for UWB

Tzero Technologies, a start-up based in Sunnyvale, California, raised $18 million in third round funding for its Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology and wireless video products.

The investment was led by the CID Group with full participation from Tzero's current investors: August Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, OVP, U.S. Venture Partners, and VentureTech Alliance.

Tzero recently announced that Hitachi has selected its ultra wideband (UWB) technology to enable wireless HD video for its forthcoming "Ultra Thin" (UT) HDTV series.
