Navini Integrates Beceem Chips in new WiMAX CPE

Navini Networks is using Beceem's Mobile WiMAX chipsets in a new "Surfer" line for Mobile WiMAX. The Surfer modems feature Beamforming and MIMO capabilities. Under a partnership deal, the companies agreed to work together to accelerate the incorporation of Beceem's Mobile WiMAX chips, which are used by several vendors of Mobile WiMAX subscriber devices. Navini will also resell USB Mobile WiMAX modem developed by Beceem, to be marketed as part of the Surfer 3000 product line of Wave 2 subscriber devices.
