YouTube Raises $8 Million for Consumer Video Uploads

YouTube, a consumer media company that lets people upload and share short video clips, received $8 million in Series B funding from Sequoia Capital. This contributes to the initial $3.5 million in Series A funding from Sequoia Capital completed in November 2005.

YouTube said more than 35 million videos are currently being watched daily on its service.
