Our
Publications
The
Converge! Network Digest publications include our subscription-based
daily and weekly e-mail newsletters, and our Web site.
Our e-mail newsletters deliver
executive overviews of the most important developments in broadband
networking to our subscribers.
Each Daily issue (see an
example) includes
an average of 12-16 stories. For
those who prefer to receive fewer e-mails, we offer a Weekly
issue (see an example), which is published each Friday morning and
includes all of that week’s stories from the daily newsletters.
Each newsletter includes all of the
issue’s news in one document.
Readers aren’t required to leave the newsletter and link to
the Internet to get complete stories, which many subscribers
appreciate when they are traveling and have intermittent Internet
access. Free trials of
our Newsletters are available to people who are considering
subscriptions. We offer
individual and corporate site license subscriptions.
Our Web site
is available to our newsletter subscribers, as well as our
non-subscribers. The
Web site offers new daily news stories, complete archives of our
past news, comprehensive company directories, conference and
industry group listings, and serves as a portal to networking
industry resources on the web.
Newsletter subscribers have access to
much more news on a more timely basis than those people who are only
users of our Web site. Our
newsletter subscribers receive complete news coverage in every
issue. Only a few of
the stories from each issue become available on the Web site
immediately after a newsletter is published.
The complete set of stories becomes available in our online
news archives one to four weeks after they are first made available
to our subscribers.

Converge! Network Digest, originally
known as ATM News Digest, has been published continuously on every
US business day since April 1994.
Our
Company
Converge!
Network Digest is owned and published by Converge! Media Ventures,
Inc., an independent, privately owned, profitable business.
We
have provided consistent, high quality, informative industry
coverage since 1994, when our original publication, Madge ATM News
Digest, was founded by Madge Networks as a marketing campaign
addressed to the "1,000 top influencers" in the networking
business. At the time,
Madge Networks was a leading supplier of Token Ring adapter cards to
major financial institutions, airlines, government agencies,
universities and other large enterprises around the world.
ATM (asynchronous transfer mode) was widely seen throughout
the networking and telecommunications industries as the ultimate
convergence layer for LANs and WANs.
To build its brand equity in the next wave of networking
technology, Madge Networks set out to create an independent
newsletter addressed to the top influencers in the industry.
In
1997, the publication was spun-off from Madge Networks into an
independent company under James E. Carroll, the newsletter’s
founding editor.
Our
publications were renamed to Converge! Network Digest in January
2000 to more accurately reflect our coverage of the entire broadband
networking industry.
