Wisair's Wireless USB Chip Gains Korean Regulatory Certification
Wisair's Wireless USB solution was approved for distribution in Korea by the Radio Research Laboratory (RRL), the certification body under the Korean Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC). The Wisair solution approved for operation in Korea includes a Wireless USB adapter, and is based on the Wisair WSR601 CMOS single chip. Wisair's WSR601 technology is currently in production with several ODM partners with shipments to end consumers expected towards the end of this quarter.

Wisair said that together with regulatory approvals already received in the U.S., Japan and Europe, its WSR601 chip now enables Wireless USB worldwide deployments with a single SKU (stock-keeping unit) model.
