The companies have tested a Wi-Fi enabled prototype handset with the NewStep CSN fixed-mobile convergence platform. This enables seamless CDMA-to-VoIP handoffs. The tests used Kyocera's next-generation, VCC-enabled CDMA/Wi-Fi handsets handsets.
