VIRUS PROTECTION AND FIREWALLS ARE MOST LIKELY PREMIUM SERVICES
A survey of 600 broadband users (DSL, cable and fixed wireless) and 400 dial-up users conducted by BroadJump and Boston Research Group found that virus protection and firewalls emerged as the most desired premium broadband services, followed by premium Internet telephony, instant messaging and streaming audio.  The BroadJump survey also found that 60% of broadband users would prefer pay-per-use over subscription-based services.  Another key finding was that almost 75% of all respondents preferred a service provider that offers enhanced services over broadband.  http://www.broadjump.com
