SPIRENT INTRODUCES VOICE OVER DSL TEST SOLUTION
Spirent Communications introduced a new module for its Adtech AX/4000 that enables service providers and manufacturers to test and analyze voice traffic over DSL and ATM networks. The solution uses ATM Adaptation Layer 2 (AAL-2) and Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) signaling to simulate voice traffic over the wide area and local loops to and from end user devices. . It can establish up to 600 simultaneous calls per port at a call set up rate of at least 40 calls per second.  Additional modules can be used to scale the platform for higher calling rates.  Availability is slated for Q4.  http://www.spirentcom.com
