Verizon to Offer IP-based Call Centers with Genesys

Verizon is planning to launch hosted IP-based services for large contact-center customers, said Mark Wegleitner, Verizon Chief Technology Officer. Verizon is working with Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories to develop the service.


Call center customers will be able to choose from a list of applications that include: automatic call distribution, an interactive voice-response unit, call control, and monitoring and customer-history databases.
